Strawberry Delight

Recipe from Anna and Clara Turbes

  • ½ cup butter
  • ¼-½ cup walnuts or pecans
  • 1 Tbsp sugar

Mix together as for pie crust. Press into greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Cool.

  • 24 marshmallows or 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 cups cream, whipped
  • 3 oz pkg strawberry jello
  • 1 ¾ cup boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh cut up strawberries (may sweeten with a little sugar if desired) or 20 oz frozen strawberries with juice.

Melt marshmallows. Cool until room temperature, add whipped cream; pour into the crust. Dissolve jello into boiling water; add strawberries, let stand until jelled a little. Pour over the cream layer. Chill until served.
